A little background…

My path into design began with earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (cum laude) at New York’s prestigious Pratt Institute.  After working for others in the jewelry trade, I designed and marketed my own jewelry line for several years.  At first I hired a seasoned graphic designer, Bob Brown, to create direct mail marketing materials for my business.  Bob became a friend and mentor who urged me to try my hand at creating my own graphics for print and online ads as I successfully marketed my business.  With the recent downturn in the economy however, I closed my jewelry business, re-assessed my many skills and returned to school for post-degree training in interactive graphic design.

Providing deliverables in a timely manner has always been a core value of my work. I now use a multitude of skills to assist business owners in promoting their marketing messages. I love collaborating with business owners to come up with solutions to meet their marketing goals.

Experience

I generated design solutions for clients which identified and clarified brand styles. I created images and layouts for use in print and digital media which enabled clients to enhance marketing visibility for their company or organization, promote their events, and market their products and services.  Clients include business owners in construction/union, consulting, and retail industries as well as not-for-profit sectors.

  • Designed materials for marketing strategies and executed marketing campaigns. Created print ad layouts, brochures, direct mail and email graphics resulting in new bid opportunities.
  • Implemented successful online campaigns utilizing internet banners, SEO, adwords and ad placements on relevant sites; one campaign resulted in #1 ranking in Google searches.
  • Designed and produced ads for placement in national specialty magazines and publications  resulting in increased sales for the company within its market niche.
  • Researched website design and user interaction; designed and coded several brand websites that were user-friendly, easily navigated, and informative.
  • Re-designed and coded website for a non-profit organization (New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners – Bergen Chapter).  The updated branding invigorated the client’s image and increased its web presence and visibility.  I was awarded the organization’s “Teal Heart Award” for this service.
